Verse 1
In the midst of a storm - rough winds they blow
While these waters are raging, I might ask you “do you care if I perish Lord?” (I know you do)
But in the midst of this storm – Jesus – you can just rest
When I arise you’re looking in my eyes – without a word - you say you’re already blessed

Pre hook
Lord the way these waves are moving – I don’t know where the land is
I’ve panicked and lost my focus and what I’ve said seemed outlandish
But as I hold on to my faith I know that the peaceful shore is surely closer….

“You of shaken faith - why are you so afraid?” I will get up and rebuked the winds and the waves, - protect in the storm - stay completely calm – we do not lose heart.

Verse 2
In the midst of a storm – God you have all power in your hand
You told winds and the rain to cease - that’s the moment my peace began

Yes in the midst of storm – I don’t have control,
But this hope we have - as an anchor of the soul
So whatever I’m worried about my Jesus you’ve got it all covered…..
And even though I don’t have my Paincoat – and even though my numbrella’s broke
I still walk on water – without my clothes getting soaked
God is our refuge and strength, a very present - help in trouble.
There’s nothing impossible for my God
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
The joy of the Lord is my strength
Who the son sets free, Is Free indeed

Mathew 8:23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
